It is the greyness that should scare you
The comfortable in-between
Where no light and no darkness
Had ever been seen
The suffering of
That delicious mundane
Not a heart filled with pink
Or hands that are green
The numbness of soul
And the deaf sound of song
Words have gone stale
Because their meaning was done
So start embracing your dark,
with your eyes open wide
Open it lovingly
And step into your light
It’s the greyness that should scare you
Most of it all
It’s where slavery rises
And humanity falls
